Recto/verso (tying pendant to mainstring) The main is fragmented at both ends. However the side of the quipus that is towards the outside is verso.

Knots:1/1 endknots (like a single knot), 1/2 endknots (a single knot securing the pendant tied with only part of the pendant as active), 8, long knots (Z), single knots (Z)

The quipu is stretched on a wooden bar - one group of 9, through the bar, next group of 9 on the opposite side of the bar, next group back again - crossing likewise through the whole bar, and back again ( first and last two groups are together.
The two yarns protuding from the bar under the figure is not attached to the quipu.
The wooden bar has a carved bird (tukan ?) at one end and a person with a kop (kero) at the other. Quipu starts and ends at bird end.
