Afternoon Dress.
FIG. CCXXIII.
The front hair cut short and combed round the forehead; the rest turn-
ed up in loops and mixed with silver bandeaux; two white ostrich feathers
placed in the front; petticoat of embroidered muslin, trimmed with a lilac
Vandyke scollopped border. Robe of Cambray silver muslin; short full
sleeves drawn, and ornamented with silver buttons. Double plaiting of
lace round the neck. Diamond necklace and ear-rings. White gloves and
shoes.
